Siteground is a trusted host with competent and friendly support, they are very affordable, though don't always perform as well as higher-end managed wordpress hosts. Godaddy offers basic, affordable managed wordpress hosting ,which is suitable for basic sites, but they generally don't quite measure up to the higher-end managed wordpress hosts.
Neither Siteground nor Godaddy are top of the list of best managed Wordpress hosting providers, but if I were to choose one, I'd go with Siteground. Siteground are very cheap to get started with and they offer a very decent service.
Let's get started!
SiteGround vs Godaddy (2024) – Which is Better?
Verdict - At a Glance
Siteground offers some very attractive introductory pricing across all of their plans, and their well priced 'GrowBig' package includes no website limit and quite a lot of features, though you'll need to move to a higher plan if you want to go above 20 GBs of disk space. But keep in mind that their renewal pricing is quite a lot more expensive than their introductory plans. If you have a very large amount of visitors on your site, then even their highest managed wordpress hosting plan might not be suitable to your needs, as it's suitable for up to 400,000 visitors, but they do offer other cloud hosting options that you can consider.
Although Godaddy is one of the most popular domain registrars in the world, there's a lot more competition in the Wordpress managed hosting industry, therefore don't just go with Godaddy based on their brand name. Keep in mind that they offer different forms of hosting. If you're running Wordpress, Managed Wordpress hosting is a slightly better option than their regular hosting, even though it tends to be more expensive. Godaddy offer unlimited visitors for a low fee in comparison to the higher-end hosting providers, it's an attractive option, though it might not perform as well.
