Image Compressor Online

Adjust quality and optional maximum dimensions to reduce upload and sharing sizes.

Data is processed on your device · No data is uploaded to our servers

Files stay in this browser. Maximum 20 files, 20 MB per file, 100 MB total, and 16 million decoded pixels per image.

Instructions

  1. Choose JPEG or WebP and a quality level.
  2. Optionally reduce the longest edge.
  3. Compare sizes and download results.

Understanding your result

Quality 80 is a starting setting, not an 80% file-size target. Compare the before/after sizes and inspect fine text, hair and sharp edges. Reducing Maximum longest edge also reduces pixel dimensions, which can have a larger effect than quality alone.

What to do if you have a problem

If the output is larger, the source may already be efficiently compressed. Try a lower quality or a smaller longest edge, then run Process images again. Keep the original for comparison. Avoid assuming that a small file retains enough detail for the use you have in mind.

What to know before using the result

Lossy compression changes pixels. A smaller output is not guaranteed for every source image.

Files and text are held in this page while you work. Downloads are saved through your browser. Reloading or closing the tab clears the working page; a downloaded copy remains in your device's download location.

Summary

Choose a compressed copy whose size and visible quality suit your upload or sharing task.
