Split PDF Files Online

Choose exactly which pages belong in each new document.

Data is processed on your device · No data is uploaded to our servers

One unencrypted PDF · 50 MB total maximum

Use commas and ranges, e.g. 1-3,5. Page numbers begin at 1. Maximum 30 output files.

Your files stay on this device. Processing and downloads happen in your browser.

Instructions

  1. Choose an unencrypted PDF within the displayed limits.
  2. Enter Page groups with one output PDF per line, such as 1-3 then 4-6.
  3. Click Split PDF and save each required output.

Understanding your result

Entering 1-3 on one Page groups line and 4-6 on another creates two output PDFs. Numbers refer to positions in the uploaded PDF, which may differ from numbers printed on its pages. Download each result and check its opening and closing pages.

What to do if you have a problem

If a range fails, check the document's actual page count and enter positions beginning at 1. Use a separate line for each output file, and commas for separate positions within a group. Keep the group list simple while checking that the selected pages are correct.

What to know before using the result

Files are processed in your browser. Password-protected or malformed PDFs are unsupported. Editing can invalidate digital signatures; forms, bookmarks and document-level features may not carry over when pages are copied. Keep your original file. Large documents may exceed your browser’s memory. This tool does not redact content or compress PDFs.

Files and text are held in this page while you work. Downloads are saved through your browser. Reloading or closing the tab clears the working page; a downloaded copy remains in your device's download location.

Summary

Save the separate PDFs whose page groups match the sections you need.
