Instructions
- Choose image and set Number of colours from 2 to 16.
- Click Create output and review the colour swatches and sampled percentages.
- Save the palette using its download link.
Understanding your result
Choosing six colours returns a compact summary of sampled visible pixels. A colour occupying a large background can dominate the palette even when a small subject is more meaningful to you. The percentages describe the sample rather than a precise count of every original pixel.
What to do if you have a problem
If a small accent colour is missing, raise Number of colours and click Create output again. Check that transparent areas are not being mistaken for an omitted colour; fully transparent pixels are excluded. Inspect the palette beside the image before reusing its HEX values in a design.
What to know before using the result
Processing happens on this device. Keep your original file. Images are limited to 20 MB and 16 million decoded pixels; animation and original image metadata are not preserved. Colours are estimated from at most 65,536 sampled pixels using quantized RGB bins. Fully transparent pixels are excluded; percentages describe the sampled visible pixels.
Files and text are held in this page while you work. Downloads are saved through your browser. Reloading or closing the tab clears the working page; a downloaded copy remains in your device's download location.
Summary
Save the sampled palette as a colour reference after comparing its swatches with the source image.
