Instructions
- Choose PDF and review the displayed standard fields.
- Edit fields such as Title and Author, or use Clear standard fields.
- Click Create output, download the copy and inspect its document information.
Understanding your result
Changing Title and Author edits standard document information, not words printed on pages. Clear standard fields empties the editable values. The saved copy also removes the XMP stream, but other objects or custom fields can still contain information.
What to do if you have a problem
If an old name remains visible, check whether it is page text or a field outside the supported information dictionary. Edit the displayed fields and click Create output to save your changes. Reopen the copy to verify the standard fields; keep the original when signatures or document features matter.
What to know before using the result
One unencrypted PDF, up to 30 MB and 500 pages. Editing invalidates digital signatures. Keep the original. This edits the standard document information dictionary and removes the XMP metadata stream when saving, to prevent conflicting old fields. Unknown custom dictionary fields remain unchanged. This is not a forensic metadata or privacy scrubber; embedded files, page text and other objects may retain information.
Files and text are held in this page while you work. Downloads are saved through your browser. Reloading or closing the tab clears the working page; a downloaded copy remains in your device's download location.
Summary
Save the edited standard information fields while checking whether other document objects retain relevant information.
