Base64 Encoder & Decoder Online
Convert text or arbitrary file bytes to standard Base64.

Instructions
- Choose text or file input to encode; paste Base64 to decode, then save text or binary output.
- Review the output and status message. Use the download button to save a copy.
Understanding your result
Encoding the text Hello gives SGVsbG8=. Base64 represents bytes as text; it does not encrypt them. Decoding arbitrary binary data may produce a valid downloadable file without readable text, so choose the result that matches your source.
What to do if you have a problem
If decoding fails, check that the input uses standard Base64 rather than the URL-safe alphabet. If bytes cannot become UTF-8 text, use the binary download instead. Check Encoding input when switching between a text value and a local file, then inspect the output size.
What to know before using the result
Maximum 5 MB file input and 7 million Base64 characters. Text decoding requires valid UTF-8; arbitrary decoded bytes can still be downloaded. Standard Base64 only; whitespace is allowed.
Files and text are held in this page while you work. Downloads are saved through your browser. Reloading or closing the tab clears the working page; a downloaded copy remains in your device's download location.
Summary
Save the encoded text or decoded bytes in the form your destination expects.
