Instructions
- Paste SRT or WebVTT, choose output format and a time shift, then convert.
- Review the output and status message. Use the download button to save a copy.
Understanding your result
A shift of 2 seconds moves a cue starting at 00:00:05 to 00:00:07. A negative shift moves it earlier, with times below zero clamped. Conversion warnings identify overlaps; they do not automatically fix the timing for you.
What to do if you have a problem
If parsing fails, check cue timestamps and whether the input is SRT or WebVTT. Use Load example to compare the expected structure. If captions remain out of sync, test a few early and late cues against the video; a constant shift cannot repair timing drift.
What to know before using the result
Maximum 500,000 characters and 5,000 cues. Plain cue text and cue identifiers are preserved. Styling, regions, notes and cue positioning are omitted. Negative shifted times are clamped to zero; overlapping cues are reported, not repaired.
Files and text are held in this page while you work. Downloads are saved through your browser. Reloading or closing the tab clears the working page; a downloaded copy remains in your device's download location.
Summary
Check converted cue timing against the video, including any overlap warnings and clamped early timestamps.
